About
Charlie (Lauréline) Yris (pronouns: They/Them)
Ceramic artist and potter

Since I started working with clay in 2020, I can’t stop anymore.
Ceramic was a potential career I considered when I was young with woodworking (cabinet making). But life lead me somewhere else. I did long studies and worked in the environment and ecology fields. Then I left everything to go traveling and change career.
I still could not decide between woodworking and ceramic. So I did a DEP (Diplôme d’études professionelles) in woodworking in à Montreal, while I was spending the rest of my free time in the ceramic studio from my neighbourhood.
Finally I got caught by the passion of clay. I left everything again to go study ceramics in Limerick, Ireland.
Today, I am slowly getting ready to settle back to Brittany where I’m from, to set up my base studio while also in the process of creating a “mobile” studio to bring my artisitic practice with me wherever I go.
